Finally! A place where I can talk about myself. More About Me

I’m a writer still trying to pull myself out of the muck of years of inactivity. I think I’m getting better as each article is just a little less embarrassing than the previous.

What Have I Written? Good question. The stuff I’m most proud of you’ve never read.

Growing up I favored science fiction, however, the writers I admired the most were humorist. Yes, those misfits from places like The National Lampoon and even Mad. as it turned out my interest in other areas such as politics, religion, music, architecture, science and technology would take me elsewhere.

Over the years I've written and published dozens of technical articles, published several books on software and financing, and contributed to several magazines, wrote several monthly columns. Sometimes I would use a pseudonym. This looks like BS on any resume, or CV, but what can I do?

What Do I Write Now?

I write about politics--some. It doesn't help that I think of myself as a liberal conservative who would probably be described as both a DINO and a RINO.

I like to write about music. this can be challenging as I sometimes get more interested in the process than the results.

I try hard at humor. I’ve long liked the short stories of a (pre-difficulties) Woody Allen. I’ve also enjoyed the writing, and cartoons, of James Thurber. And let’s not forget the many writers that emerged from the National Lampoon camp.

Of course, I write fiction! although, I consider myself a failed fiction writer. When I try for serious, it comes out funny. When I try for funny - ouch.

From time to time I write technical stuff. Today it's mostly about my experiences going from decades of Windows to Apple. I wouldn't say that I'm a fanboy--I give Apple a 6.5 out of 10 on the evil scale.

I’ve also written a few things about Android, using a pseudonym, of course, that will remain unnamed. I have to admit I’m not the world’s biggest Android fan.

I have written books or co-written--several--published by traditional publishers and sold in brick and mortar stores. Don't blame me for Borders demise. These books sold well.

Finally, how Can You Help?

Follow me please. Clap for my stories. Buy me a cup of coffee—when you see me, cafe au lait. (The fancy man’s way of saying black-coffee with milk.) In the meantime if I ever decide to sign on to one of the many tipping sites I’ll be sure to include a link below.
